Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 May 2026

1. Scope and provider

These Terms govern your use of the Glyqo app and related services. The provider is Glyqo, a sole proprietorship owned by Michael Habegger, Rietstrasse 25, 8634 Hombrechtikon, Switzerland (the provider, we). By using the app you accept these Terms.

2. Not a medical device and not a substitute for medical advice

Glyqo is a learning and reflection app. Glyqo is not a medical device and does not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations or insulin dosing. Its content is descriptive and for information and understanding only.

Do not make medical decisions based on the app alone. Always consult your diabetes care team before changing your therapy.

Emergencies: Glyqo is not an emergency or monitoring service. In a medical emergency, immediately contact your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in the EU/UK, 144 in Switzerland) or your care team.

3. Account and minimum age

An account is required. You must be at least 18 years old; the app is intended for adults. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

4. Data sources and third-party services

Glyqo can access data sources you enable (e.g. CGM via Medtronic CareLink, Apple Health). You authorise these connections yourself. Such third-party services are subject to their own terms; we have no control over their availability or data quality.

5. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your personal purposes. You may not misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt the app or circumvent its security mechanisms.

6. Free and paid features

Glyqo offers free features and optional paid subscriptions (freemium). Purchases and subscriptions are processed through the relevant app store (e.g. the Apple App Store), whose terms also apply, in particular regarding billing, renewal and cancellation. Prices are shown before purchase.

7. Right of withdrawal (EEA consumers)

Consumers in the EEA generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for paid digital content. The right lapses once performance begins, provided you have expressly consented and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Processing and refunds are handled by the relevant app store.

8. Availability and beta

The app may be in a test/beta phase and features may change, be limited or unavailable. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

9. Warranty and liability

The app is provided with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. In particular, we are not liable for damages arising from relying on the app alone for medical decisions contrary to section 2. Mandatory statutory liability (in particular for personal injury and mandatory consumer rights) remains unaffected.

10. Intellectual property

All rights in the app, its design, content and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. Your own data remains your data.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate use in the event of material breaches of these Terms.

12. Apple App Store

If you obtain the app through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard licensed application end user licence agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple is not a party to these Terms and provides no support or warranty for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are, however, third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes

We may amend these Terms. We will notify you of material changes in an appropriate manner; continued use constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted, the provider’s registered seat. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
