Install the app (TestFlight)

During the beta, Glyqo is not in the regular App Store yet, but comes via TestFlight, Apple’s official app for testing pre-release versions. So you need two quick things: the TestFlight app and our beta invitation link.

STEP 1A

Get TestFlight

Free app from Apple. Install once, never needed again.

Open TestFlight
STEP 1B

Join the Glyqo beta

Tap this link, ideally right on your iPhone. TestFlight opens, then tap „Accept“ and „Install“.

Join the Glyqo beta
Note (internal): invitation link still to be added.

Here is how it goes

Tap „Open TestFlight“ and install the app from the App Store.
Back to this page, tap „Join the Glyqo beta“. TestFlight then opens the Glyqo beta.
In TestFlight, tap „Install“. Glyqo appears as an app on your home screen.
Later, TestFlight automatically shows when a new version is ready. Then just tap „Update“.

Connect CareLink

Glyqo reads your CGM data from Medtronic CareLink. For this to work reliably, we recommend creating a separate CareLink account without two-factor authentication (2FA) that you use only for Glyqo.

✅ Prerequisite: data must reach CareLink first

For Glyqo to retrieve any values at all, the MiniMed Mobile app must be installed on your iPhone and actively connected to your pump. Also check in the MiniMed app that sync with CareLink is enabled (account settings, „Sync with CareLink“). Only then do your current values reach CareLink, where Glyqo reads them.

💡 Why a second account?

When logging into your main account, CareLink often requires a 2FA confirmation plus a bot check. That interrupts the automatic retrieval of your values. A dedicated account without 2FA that only „follows“ your pump/patient account solves this, and your main account stays fully protected.

Step by step

1Open the CareLink site for your region (above) and choose „Create account“. Create a care partner account, not the patient account, with a separate email address you do not otherwise use for CareLink.
2During registration: do NOT enable two-factor authentication. If it is already on, turn it off later in account settings under Security.
3Link this new account with your pump/patient account so it may see your values (in CareLink via „Add a person to follow“ or an invitation to the care partner email).
4Sign in once directly on the CareLink site with the new account to confirm everything works and your values are visible.
5You will need these credentials (email + password) in Glyqo shortly, so keep them handy.

Security note: Only disable 2FA for this dedicated second account that you use exclusively for Glyqo, not for your main account. The exact menu labels may vary slightly by region and CareLink update.

Connect in Glyqo & get going

Now the best part: putting it all together. Open Glyqo on your iPhone and follow the setup.

1Open Glyqo and sign in or register with your account (Sign in with Apple is available).
2In the „You“ tab, go to devices/data sources and choose Connect CareLink. Enter the credentials of your second account from step 2 there.
3Allow Apple Health when Glyqo asks. That adds sleep, exercise, HRV and more. It is best to allow all offered categories.
4Allow notifications so you get Glyqo’s daily observations. Done. After a short while your first values and meals appear.
4

Test & give feedback

Use Glyqo normally for a few days: photograph meals, look at your trends, ask Glyqo questions. Your honest feedback is worth its weight in gold.

These questions help us most

  • How well supported do you feel by Glyqo?
  • What works well, what does not?
  • What do you wish for that is still missing?
  • Are the observations clear and helpful to you?

How to give feedback

Fastest is straight from TestFlight: take a screenshot, share it and choose „Beta feedback“. Or just write to us.

Little stumbling blocks

The beta link does not open TestFlight

Make sure the TestFlight app (step 1A) is installed, and open the link directly on your iPhone, not on a computer.

CareLink login fails

Usually it is down to active 2FA. Check that two-factor authentication is really disabled for your Glyqo second account (account settings, Security).

No values are coming in

First check that the MiniMed Mobile app is running, connected to the pump and syncing to CareLink. Then give the sync a few minutes and pull down once in Glyqo to refresh.

Stuck?
